2322 E. 5th Street

The existing house, built in 1931, had two small bedrooms, one bathroom and limited closet space. My design called for demolishing the existing front bedroom and entry porch and then constructing an a new, larger master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet, a new front porch and an tower foyer that would dramatize the entry. I also enlarged the kitchen pantry and replaced the added-on back-porch awning with a raised, covered brick-floored porch that matched the style of the front entry. Finally, to integrate the new back porch with the existing back patio, I reconfigured the patio and added a banco and custom-designed fountain.
