I develop my designs with the aid of computerized 3-D modeling. This technology allows me to accurately assess the ramifications of design decisions as I make them and to evaluate the design with respect to shade and shadow at any time of the day and any time of the year. 3-D modeling also helps me to communicate the design because it can display my concept to my client – or to the building contractor and subcontractors – in true perspective and from any angle. I produce all drawings using AutoCAD (computer aided drafting) which enables me to more quickly incorporate design changes at any stage in the drawing process.
