Places and Things
Plants and Animals
The Yakima Valley

Typically, I paint from a subject first – a person, an object, a landscape; then the painting becomes the subject and I rework the painting according to the subjective reality it portrays in the same way that a fictional narrative adheres to the reality created by it. AS the painting progresses, the its composition, perspective and colors are no longer dictated by the original reality that inspired those elements.

My work has been exhibited at the Tucson International Airport, the Coos Bay Art Museum in Oregon, the Western Federation of Watercolor Society’s annual show in Dallas, Texas, Raices Taylor Gallery in Tucson, the Porter Hall Gallery at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, the Pima County Main Library, the University of Arizona Student Union Gallery and the University of Arizona Museum of Art.

My paintings are in private collections in Arizona, California, Kansas, Washington and Minnesota.
